A long time...

So I have been busy since the last blog post. In that time, I've gotten married and moved to beautiful Seabreeze, NC. It's a little unincorporated area between Wilmington and Carolina Beach. I moved from one beach to another by way of Interstate 40 which I travelled from end-to-end, arriving at the doorstep of my new home in about 4 days. I also quit my career in IT and went into the restaurant business which I can definitely say is much tougher than managing smart IT people like I was used to doing. Last year (2007), I was blessed and privileged enough to visit 23 of our great 50 states during a few long road trips encompassing some 7000 miles, mostly along Interstates 405, 15, 40, 30, 35, 77, 76, 95, and 295. I even made 3 stops through Knoxville, TN in 2 days! If you ever get the opportunity to do a long road trip, I highly suggest it. There are plenty of sites to see including the Parthenon in Nashville, the Bourbon trail in Kentucky (including the Maker's Mark Distillery), Gettysburg, Washington DC, and of course the birthplace of Kentucky Fried Chicken! I've met some great people in my travels and am looking forward to resuming my career in IT. I also picked up surfing again after a 20yr. hiatus and I have to say that the waves on the east coast, albeit not as big are still great rides. And the water and beaches are pristine compared to California. Also, the water temperature in the summer is usually around 80 degrees which means no need for a wetsuit! That's all for now and god bless!
